Originally from Romania, Dragos Ilie resides in the United States and has earned recognition from his concerts and recordings across Asia, Europe, and the US. A respected teacher and member of the recently founded non-profit, Ex-Aequo, his artistry, dedication, and mastery are sought throughout the world of classical guitar.
A winner of more than 40 Grand Prizes and dozens of others across international music competitions, his standout ability has delighted audiences in concert and attracted featured artist placements on the chamber music scene, including with the Austin Guitar Quartet—a group nominated for a GRAMMY.
